Welcome to Abiders Magazine
Abiders Magazine is a WA-based literary (ish) magazine dedicated to sharing and celebrating the creative voices of Christian young people.
Abiders was established in January 2026 (yep, we're brand-new) to be a biannual, digital publication. That’s the plan at the moment, anyway - we're still figuring this whole thing out, and we would love for you to join us on the journey.
Our Story
Hey! I’m Madi – Kimberley kid, bookworm and founder of Abiders Magazine.
In 2024, I came to Perth to study a degree in Professional Writing and Publishing. Moving so far away from home was tough, but I was lucky enough to connect with a group of the coolest young women who helped me find a place to belong and connect with like-minded, supportive people.
Over this past summer, I've had a bunch of unexpected conversations with these friends and with other young Christians about their own creative projects. And while I love to write and create my own stuff, it became incredibly exciting and important to me to find these stories, magnify them, and create another space of like-mindedness, support and belonging. I hope you can find that here!
Our Values
Abiding
Our hope is that every part of our lives - including (& maybe even especially) our creative pursuits - would be rooted and established in love.
Creating
We were created by a creative God, and the world needs Christians in the arts. We seek to develop a magazine that has genuine literary merit and radical creativity.
Unifying
We seek to foster strong relationships among young believers in WA by supporting and encouraging one another and by building a community of like-minded people.
Glorifying
Any skills or talents we possess have been graciously gifted to us by God. Therefore, we seek to use our creativity to honour him and point people towards the love of Jesus Christ.
